My responsibility as a childminder is to ensure the safety and welfare of all the children in my care in line with the procedures of my local safeguarding children’s board.

Telephone: 02920774600
Email: [email protected]
The relevant local procedures that are held by me are available on request.
I have received training on safeguarding children and I am aware of the signs and symptoms of child abuse, physical, emotional and sexual as well as those of neglect.
I am familiar with the local safeguarding children board procedures and review them every six months, updating my policies and documents with the latest version if required.
If I am concerned for a child’s welfare I may contact the local authority, the NSPCC, pacey (professional association for childcare and early years) or other relevant support services for advice providing this does not affect confidentiality.
Child protection concerns that require reporting to social services or the police will necessitate sharing details that will identify a particular child. Under these circumstances I will not be able to keep information relating to your child confidential.
I aim to work together with parents to make sure the care of your child is consistent. Please notify me of any concerns you may have about your child.
If I notice:
If a child tells me that they or another child is being abused I will:
It is not my responsibility to attempt to investigate any suspicions myself.
If an allegation is made against me, or any member of my household, I will report it to CSSIW and social services following the Safeguarding Children Board procedures. I will also contact PACEY’s Information Line for advice and support.
In all instances I will record:
